Canarias quiere romper moldes y que a la hora de buscar empleo a través de los registros públicos de todo el Estado pese más el denominado sexo sentido que el género que se ha impuesto al nacer y que con el que necesariamente no tiene porqué identificarse la persona.
La Consejería de Empleo del Ejecutivo regional propuso esta semana en una reunión en el ministerio de todas las comunidades autónomas que el Sistema de Información de los Servicios Públicos de Empleo (Sispe) estudie una fórmula para realizar esa modificación y hacerlos más sociales. Canarias pretende así abrir el debate sobre la conveniencia de iniciar estrategias para la mejora de la empleabilidad de estos colectivos y articular políticas específicas para las personas trans, no binarias e intersexuales.
La iniciativa, pionera en el país, es fruto de las mesas de trabajo llevadas a cabo en Canarias en el último año con estos colectivos para elaborar la futura ley canaria sobre este mismo asunto. En estos encuentros, las entidades presentaron planteamientos novedosos en distintas áreas, como la educación, el empleo o la sanidad. En el ámbito laboral advirtieron precisamente de los problemas de inserción a los que se enfrentan.
El director del Servicio Canario de Empleo (SCE), Sergio Alonso, sostiene que "a medida que la sociedad ha avanzado en la defensa de los derechos de personas con identidad sexual distinta, se hace imprescindible gestionar esta información para diseñar políticas específicas y garantizar que tenga las mismas oportunidades que el resto".
En la actualidad, en Canarias está en vigor la ley de no discriminación por motivos de identidad de género y de reconocimiento de los derechos de las personas transexuales. Además, se encuentra en vías de iniciar el trámite parlamentario una proposición de ley de igualdad social y no discriminación por razón de identidad de género, que sustituirá la redacción actual para adaptarla a las circunstancias actuales de los colectivos de personas a las que va dirigida.
La proposición de ley contempla que las personas trans e intersexuales, en general, serán consideradas a todos los efectos como personas en riesgo de exclusión social y con necesidades especiales de inserción laboral.
