Mujeres Transexuales piden a la Iglesia acabar con la discriminación / La Jornada / México, DF. Mujeres transexuales exhortaron a la cúpula católica a poner fin a la violencia y la discriminación, así como a los crímenes de odio en "nombre de dios". En una manifestación realizada a las afueras de las oficinas de la Arquidiócesis de México ubicadas en Durango #90, colonia Roma.
Los manifestantes expresaron que con las críticas y denostaciones hacia este sector de la población y su férrea oposición a las uniones de parejas del mismo sexo y a la adopción de niños por parte de éstas, la jerarquía católica incita a que ocurran de crímenes de odio.
Diana Sánchez Barrios, fundadora de la ONG ProDiana y promotora de la ley de identidad de género en el Distrito Federal, refirió que en las últimas semanas en ciudades como Guadalajara, Chihuahua, Durango y Sonora altos mandatarios religiosos han realizado declaraciones y acciones "peligrosas", convocadas y promovidas por el cardenal Francisco Robles Ortega, arzobispo de Guadalajara y presidente de la Conferencia del Episcopado Mexicano.
En un escrito que entregaron a las oficinas de la arquidiócesis indican que estas acciones son claramente violatorias a los artículos 1, 24 y 130 constitucionales.
Los manifestantes, que cargaban pancartas en las que se leía "Nosotras también creemos en dios. Dios no juzga, nos juzga el ser humano" y "Respeto al estado laico" informaron que en los próximos días realizarán una marcha en el DF, posteriormente acudirán a Gobernación y de no haber respuesta instalarán un plantón a las afueras de la Catedral Metropolitana.
También criticaron las publicaciones que está emitiendo la Arquidiócesis de México a través del su sistema informativo, en el que advierte de los "peligros" que trae la adopción de niños por parte de parejas homosexuales".
